This museum is being created to house a priceless collection of paintings by Tamayo and other important works of art donated by the painter. It will contain
thirteen rooms showing the different schools of contemporary art, including architecture and design. The closed rooms will be loosely connected by ramps, so that the visitor can follow a random, rather than a predetermined route. The museum will also have an
auditorium and projection room, a library, cafeteria and a workshop for mounting and restoring works of art.
